Which event in Ivan's life would you consider to be a major point of change or a "turning point." Why did you choose that event and how was Ivan's life different after that point.
Go to the website of the Atlanta Zoo and read the timeline of Ivan the Gorilla's real life. There is also a short video of his behaviors at the zoo.

I would consider the year of 1994 the turning point in Ivan's life. I think this because this was when people started to really get angry about keeping Ivan in the mall and started to notice that this wasn't right. This lead to Ivan going to a better place like the zoo and the end of his isolation. After this point Ivan lived a better life with gorillas of his kind.

A major turning point for Ivan's life was when he and his sister were taken from their family from hunters and taken to the shopping mall. This event was important because without the event I van would still be in the jungle and his sister wouldn't be dead. After he was shipped to the mall he lost his connection with his family and nature. I also think Ivan became depressed when he first arrived into the mall because he was so little and had never had a connection with humans before. Also because Ivan was trapped in his cage he had no connection with other gorillas and he wouldn't have enough space in a cage in the shopping mall.

I think the major turning point in Ivan's life is when he goes into the Zoo for the first time. He has not been outside in many years and I couldn't imagine how hard that was. When he got there, he got to live the silverback he is. When he was in the mall for for decades, I don't think he enjoyed it much, but when he was in the Zoo, he got to live with other real gorillas.

I would consider the moment that Ivan was moved to the zoo a turning point in his life. This is because he was finally able to move out of his cage. Now that he is in the open air with the sun, air, and ladies, he will probably live a life way better than his old one.

A major change in Ivan's life was when they transferred him to the Atlanta Zoo. He has been indoors for more than 27 years and now that has been transferred he has had a chance to go outside and be free in the Zoo.

I consider Ivan's turning point in 1992 when he was saved by his fans and they argued how Ivan's life was trapped and how his requirements aren't met by being in a glass cage and put him in Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo.

I think the event that would be considered to be Ivan's "turning point" would be in 1994-1995. During these years, a zoo brought him in, and he got to be outdoors for the first time in more than 27 years. Ever since he has been in the zoo, he had met more silverbacks and got to experience what it's like to be outdoors.

Ivan's major turning point of his life would be him becoming famous. He had stayed in the B&I for thirteen years and after that he had become an attraction . He was adored and loved and was not very lonely because he got visitors most of the time.

In 1992 the B&I store is facing bankruptcy and Ivan's fans are now realizing that all of Ivan's needs aren't being met in the store. This is important because if nobody realized that he wasn't being treated correctly, he may have ended up spending his entire life and dying. The bankruptcy of the store was also good because that means they could not afford good lawyers and would loose a case, if there was one. Ivan was very fortunate for his fans to realize what they were doing to him.

I think that the point when ivan had an impact was when the females left and ivan felt lonely. Also Ivan had no one to be with him, he liked spending time with his partners.

I think that the most major transformation is when he was in a mall for more than 20 years. It is very mean and cruel to hide a gorilla inside a mall for a entertainment center

I think that even thoug Ivan has had a boring life he had a good life not like other gorillas he lived for a long time. I like How he got out of his domain In 1994 so in my opinion I think he had a good life

I believe in 1992 that the mall's customers though that Ivan was not in a nice play so the zoo talked with te owner and brought him to a better place. I believe that's when he had a major point in his life because he was in a better place.

I think the biggest turning point in Ivan's life was in 1964 when he was captured ans sold. This is a big turning point because it was the start of another living a life in his natural habitat. From this point on, he would be living in captivity.

I would suggest 1994-1995 Ivan's turning point in his life. It's mostly because everybody noticed that Ivan needed to be like a real gorilla and BE FREE!!!! So right after Ivan succeeded in moving himself to another location a.k.a. the zoo. After he moved to the zoo, he lived a happy live with gorilla friends, zookeepers, and gorilla ladies😏😏.

I think the big change in IVans life was in 1995 to 2011 because he finally got out of the mall and into a zoo and finally got to go out side.

A major change in Ivan's life was when they transferred him to Atlanta Zoo. He has been indoors for more than 27 years and now he is transferred, he is finally free and he could have a normal life and have a partner and make a family.

I think that when Ivan was sent to Atlanta, it had a turning point because, he didn't have to be stuck at the B&I department store. Since he was sent to a zoo, he was able to meet other gorillas and become a free animal.

I would say that in 1995 is a turning point. I chose this because it is the first time after more than 27 years that Ivan hasn't experienced the outdoors. After this, Ivan's whole life changes and this was the beginning of a new era.

I think that 1995 was his life turning point because that was when he was finally outdoors in 27 years. I felt so bad for him because he missed out on all the fresh air that he could've had at the mall.

A turning point in Ivan's life was when he was stuck in a mall and was in doors for more than 20 years and now he gets sent to the zoo and now he see's the sunlight and smells nature and feels the air. So now he can become a real animal and he has his only family now to protect.
